Biografía de Daniel Innerarity
Daniel Innerarity es catedrático de filosofía política y social, investigador IKERBASQUE en la Universidad del País Vasco y director del Instituto de Gobernanza Democrática. Es titular de la Cátedra Inteligencia Artificial y Democracia del Instituto Universitario Europeo en Florencia.
Doctor en Filosofía, amplió sus estudios en Alemania, como becario de la Fundación Alexander
von Humboldt, Suiza e Italia. Ha sido profesor invitado en diversas universidades europeas y americanas, como el Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies del Instituto Europeo
de Florencia, la Universidad de la Sorbona (Paris I), la London School of Economics and Political Science, la Maison des Sciences de l'Homme en París,
la Universidad de Georgetown o el Max Planck Institute de Heidelberg.
Entre sus libros cabe destacar Un mundo de todos y de nadie; La democracia del conocimiento, Premio Euskadi de Ensayo 2012; La humanidad amenazada: gobernar los riesgos globales (con Javier Solana); El futuro y sus enemigos; El nuevo espacio público; La sociedad invisible, Premio Espasa de Ensayo 2004; La transformación de la política, III Premio de Ensayo Miguel de Unamuno y Premio Nacional de Literatura en la modalidad de Ensayo 2003; Ética de la hospitalidad, Premio de la Sociedad Alpina de Filosofía 2011 al mejor libro de filosofía en lengua francesa; La política en tiempos de indignación (2015); La Democracia en Europa (2017); Política para perplejos (2018), Premio Euskadi de Ensayo 2019; Una teoría de la democracia compleja (2019); Pandemocracia (2020) y La sociedad del desconocimiento (2022). Algunos de sus libros han sido traducidos en Francia, Portugal, Estados Unidos, Italia y Canadá.
Es colaborador habitual de opinión en El País y El Correo/Diario Vasco y La Vanguardia.
En el 2022 ha recibido el Premio Nacional de Investigación en Humanidades. Recibió el Premio Príncipe de Viana de la Cultura en 2013 otorgado por el Gobierno de Navarra. Este premio reconoce la trayectoria de personas o entidades relevantes en el mundo de la cultura. En 2008 Eusko Ikaskuntza-Caja Laboral le concedió el Premio de Humanidades, Artes, Cultura y Ciencias Sociales.
La revista francesa “Le Nouvel Observateur” le incluyó el año 2004 en una lista de los 25 grandes pensadores del mundo.
Daniel Innerarity is professor of politics and social philosophy, IKERBASQUE researcher at the University of the Basque Country and director of the Institute for Democratic Governance. He holds the Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Democracy at the European University Institute in Florence.
D. in Philosophy, he furthered his studies in Germany, as a scholar of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Switzerland and Italy. He has been a visiting professor at various European and American universities, such as the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies of the European Institute in Florence, the Sorbonne University (Paris I), the London School of Economics and Political Science, the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme in Paris, Georgetown University and the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg.

In 2022 he received the National Prize for Research in the Humanities. He received the Prince of Viana Culture Award in 2013 from the Government of Navarre. This award recognises the trajectory of relevant people or entities in the world of culture. In 2008 Eusko Ikaskuntza-Caja Laboral awarded him the Humanities, Arts, Culture and Social Sciences Prize.
In 2004, the French magazine "Le Nouvel Observateur" included him in a list of the 25 great thinkers of the world.
